 Maternity Leave Rules in New UAE Labour Law 

  • New UAE Maternity Laws in United Arab Emirates after UAE Labour Law February 2022.
  • As per the Matenrity Leaves Abu Dhabi Laws before, it was defined as"""Females are entitled to three months of fully-paid maternity leave. After the female employee resumes, she is entitled to two hours of daily leave for the first year after delivery to nurse her child. Males are entitled to three days' paternity leave.""" 
         Note: This point is only for Abu Dhabi and it was enforced before.

  • In Dubai the maternity leaves are regulated by Decree 14, 2017 and now revised in 2022.
  • Now as per new Law 45 Days Full Salary and rest 15 Days half salary.
  • Meanwhile if there is any complication then again unpaid leaves should be provided, which can be for few weeks or months. 
  • Along with this, additional 30 Days leaves will also be given, in case there is an issue or sickness with the child.
